The Daily Bike, October 30, 2012

This isn’t the kind of photo that reaches out and grabs you. It’s too subtle. But spend a little time with it and you begin to see the magic. Flawless composition. Quiet but dynamic rider. A steel frame. A place everyone of us would want to be.

This is Brian Vernor riding his 14-year-old Hunter cross bike. “Lots of miles, races on this bike,” he said. He’s heading into the Santa Cruz Mountains, riding uphill on a thin bed of pine needles, to go camping. Like I said: magic.

Wow. Now for the nerdy question: What kind of racks are those?
