Father and Son Get ‘Insane’ Heli Rescue from Gondola

If only all evacuations from stuck ski lifts were this cool.

It has been a bad week for ski lifts. A chair fell off the North Bowl lift at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe on Sunday, forcing the evacuation of 65 people. An 11-year-old New Hampshire boy fell off a chair at Ragged Mountain and suffered a concussion. And at Kicking Horse in British Columbia, a power outage shut down a gondola, leading to the rescue of passengers by helicopter. But no one was hurt, and one father-son duo got a helicopter lift to the top of Kicking Horse that no doubt beats any run down.
