Alcohol or Pot?

Having grown up in a era when Reefer Madness still played in midnight showings, in the Reagan days of Just Say No, I’m still getting used to the idea that pot is legal in Colorado and Washington and likely on its way to legality many more states in the decade to come. Of course, weed has been (mostly) culturally accepted for a long time, and is (for many) an integral part of the outdoor experience, whether enhancing a ski day or building the mellow around the campfire.

Some of you are in the “neither” camp, and that will be an option below, but for those who imbibe the question at hand is designed to force you to choose: If you have to pick one substance and only one to accompany your camping trips, hikes, and other outdoor adventures, which will it be?
