Free Days At National Parks Start Today

In 2022, there are five days you can get into the parks with no admission fees. Free days kick off today, in recognition of MLK Jr. Day, with the next coming in April. Here’s the list:

โ€ข January 17: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
โ€ขย April 16: First day of National Park Week
โ€ข August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
โ€ข September 24: National Public Lands Day
โ€ข November 11: Veterans Day

For a one-time charge of $80, you can make every day a “free day” at national parks and other federal recreation lands with an “America The Beautiful” pass. Get one here.
