Wanna Know How Bike Brands Decide How to Spec A New Bike?

Especially in this current phase of human history in which sourcing good bike components is very hard for all but the biggest of players, it’s fascinating to see exactly how and why bike brands spec their rigs the way they do. The folks at Singletracks run a podcast too and they recently featured Marin Bikes’ Aaron Abrams, Director of Product, and asked him all sorts of questions about these spec decisions. We thought it was a compelling interview and a cool window into why bikes end up costing what they do.
